Miss Freedom, the statue that has perched atop the capitol since 1889, has
undergone restoration recently. Visitors will want to see the five paintings
once housed in Milledgeville, including ones of Washington and Jefferson.
They are now in the capitol rotunda. In addition, the capitol has an impressive
