The front portico draws its inspiration from the Temple of Vesta in Rome. The draped figure of The Lady of Wisdom rises atop the dome. Inside, black limestone floor tiles, placed during the past renovations, contain many fossils.

What a grand building! It was very easy to get to as well. The entire state of Maine is beautiful.
