Today, the only granite dome of any state house is topped with a gilded bronze
statue named Wisconsin. This figure is mirrored on the interior of the dome where
she sits on a cloud, cloaked in an American flag and presides over the Resources of Wisconsin. 608-266-0382 General hours M-F 8-6, weekends and holidays 8-4. Guided tours Monday - Saturday 9 - 11, 1 - 4, Sunday 1 - 3. During the summer months, an additional 4:00 tour is offered on non-holiday weekdays. All tours are offered on the hour. Groups of ten or more should make advanced reservations. The Wisconsin capitol has an outside observation deck
