General hours daily 8 – 5.
Tours offered M-F 9-11 a.m., and 1-3 p.m., on the hour.
Weekend tours are offered at 11 and 2 only.
The capitol is closed January 1st, Easter, Thanksgiving and December 25th.
During legislative session (January through May) the capitol suggests visitors call in advance to verify tour availability.
Please note that all groups over ten individuals should make a reservation in advance. If arriving with no reservation, groups of ten or more may be able to join a tour if space is available.
Groups of under ten individuals do NOT need to make a reservation.
The stamp for Missouri is located at the tour desk on the first floor.

My husband and I stopped in at the capitol in November, 2008. We took the tour given by the most wonderful man. The murals by Thomas Hart Benton were explained magnificently by our guide. The grounds were also beautiful and filled with wonderful statues.
