General hours Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 8 p.m., weekends and state holidays, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Please note that the tour office closes at 5 p.m.
Guided tours are on the hour, 9-4, Monday – Friday. Additional tours are available on Wednesdays at 6 and 7 p.m., but these must be reserved in advance.
Please note that stamp availability varies on season and staffing; you may call ahead to determine its availability during your visit, at 801-538-1800.
If you are unable to access the stamp, contact us at 303-564-7570 for a replacement stamp for your book!
Guided-tour availability is variable at the following times: Wednesday through Friday of the week of Thanksgiving, December 22nd through January 2nd, Easter and state holidays.
Visitors should check the website prior to their upcoming visit for confirmation on all open hours and tours.
The stamp for Utah is located at the Visitor’s Center, ground floor, by the east door. Another stamp is located in the Council Hall Building, on the south side of the capitol.

We went on a Sunday, so no tours, but we brought along the Capitol Bingo sheet from the Utah website and had fun searching for all the architectural details. Nice park across the street.
